Mind the Gap started as a warning.
Three words broadcast across the London Underground beginning in 1969, reminding passengers to watch
the space between the train and the platform. Simple. Practical. Easy to ignore right up until you don’t.
The gap we’re watching is different, but the warning is the same.
In AI and technology, the gap is the space between deployment and accountability.
Between “we built it” and “it works.” Between the demo and six months later, when nobody’s watching,
and the edge cases have quietly accumulated into something nobody intended.
Most conversations about AI happen on one side of that gap or the other.
We’re interested in the threshold, the place where the real decisions get made,
